Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, better known as simply Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, is a Halloween special that aired in Ireland on October 26, 2009, and in the USA on October 28, 2009.

Synopsis[]

Susan and the monsters go back to Susan's home in Modesto, California, and arrive just in time for Halloween celebrations. Susan decides to spend time with her parents, while the other monsters join in trick-or-treating and collect lots of candy. Dr. Cockroach, who disliked Halloween after one bad childhood experience soon begins his transformation into the Biggest Halloween Lover in the world. It is later revealed that the monsters came to destroy mutant pumpkins disguised as Jack-o-lanterns. When the pumpkins begin to eat children's candy to grow larger, Susan fights the pumpkins which combined into a regenerating giant monster, the monsters and children defeat them by throwing candy to inflate them and eventually explode, allowing one of the pumpkins to escape scot-free until Susan whistles for Butterflyosaurus to destroy it resulting to fireworks for the monsters & children to celebrate as their candy comes forth, then Missing Link scared the other surviving pumpkin to make it explode. But, in a twist ending, some of the pumpkin "blood" (a green goo that mutated the ordinary pumpkins) falls into a planting of carrots, causing a mutant carrot to be formed.
